A little bit about me
Hi! I’m Chryssa.
Chief Do-Gooder
I often describe myself as a modern-day Goldilocks.
Not because of my hair, but because it took me a few tries to find my purpose.
I’ve tried a few careers over the years and ran into my fair share of bears.
I started off in the charity/non-profit sector and although I’m very focused on social good, I did not feel like I fit well in that sector.
So, I got an MBA because my pendulum was swinging far and wide.
I really did not feel that I found my tribe there (if I never see a navy blue suit again!)
And then I came across an organization called the School for Social Entrepreneurs and something just felt right.
It was here that I developed the confidence to launch my social enterprise Sidekicks.
It was also here that I found my tribe.
Change makers.
They take all forms: social entrepreneurs that launch new ventures (like me), social intrapreneurs making change from within existing organizations, activists, philanthropists, etc.
There are amazing leaders trying to make real impact in their communities and these are the people I feel most aligned with.
Doing this kind of work is hard, really hard and sometimes it pushes you to the edge.
That’s why it’s so important to know your purpose.
And, to have a community that you feel aligned with.
If you’re trying to make an impact through your work, I hope you’ll reach out.
Let’s change the world together!
